Revision Rhinoplasty Dallas
Patients who have had previous rhinoplasty elsewhere and are unsatisfied with the cosmetic outcome and/or breathing form a large portion of Dr. Saman’s rhinoplasty practice. As a specialist surgeon trained both as an ENT surgeon as well as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Saman is uniquely qualified to address both the shape and the function of the nose.
After primary rhinoplasty, the nose soft tissue undergoes several changes including scarring and thinning. In addition, the underlying cartilage may have been cut out too much creating areas of airway collapse and undue narrowing. Some time there are persistent bony irregularities and deviations that need to be addressed.
Most revision rhinoplasties will need an external approach to address deformities caused by the previous surgeries. Minor revisions may be performed through a scarless approach. Some times, there will be a need additional cartilage to create a strong foundation to mold a new nose that best fits the patient’s face. This cartilage may be taken from the ear or the rib using a small well-hidden incision.
At the time of your consultation with Dr. Saman, your complete facial analysis as well as internal and external nasal examination will be performed, and all risks and benefits of procedure will be discussed. In addition you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and questions with Dr. Saman at length. Photos and computer-simulation will be done at the time of preoperative appointment.
All procedures are performed at the accredited and state-of-the-art surgical facilities in Plano with the care of board-certified anesthesiologists for highest safety and quality of care.
